Briefly, I work with whatever material you bring to me. I conduct a face-to-face interview with you (in most instances) to get a better feel for you, your lifestyle, and what it is you'd like to have in your new home. I then work up a preliminary floor plan to give us a starting point. Once we begin to make changes, I include 3D computer-generated renderings and 2D elevations to help you visualize how the interior and exterior of your home will look. When you feel we have your home designed the way you like it, I generate a "finished" plan for estimating and bank appraisal. When you have chosen a builder, I will meet with you and your builder to finalize the p[lans and generate your copies for inspection approval and construction.
Whether you live close to my office or in another state, we can continue the design process via the Internet and email, as well as with Skype conferences. This allows you to work within the comfort and familiar environment of your home or office.
Dream Home Design's home office has been in Southern Pines for 15 years now, and for the past five years at 211 Trimble Plant Road, Suite 5A. Since I moved to Greensboro in October of 2013, I have moved my principle operation there. I currently have my office in my home at 402 West Smith Street and meet clients in the complex's community board room. I will continue to serve both markets.
Office hours are from 9:a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. I am in Southern Pines on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Greensboro the rest of the week. I am willing to meet with clients outside of business hours and on weekends by appointment, contingent on my personal schedule and the client's need. I will meet with clients in Greensboro by appointment only (no walk-ins) until I procure an office here.
Dream Home Design is a full service residential design company. I work with both individual clients as well as contractors, remodelers, builders and developers. Whether you walk in with a concept for your dream house, a floor plan sketched out on a napkin, or a four-inch thick binder of all the ideas you've collected over the past ten years, I can help you make your dream come true. And it doesn't matter what size home you want, or whether you're more interested in remodeling your present home, building a barn or free-standing garage, or interested in designing offices for your expanding business, I can convert your idea to construction plans that will facilitate a seamless inspection approval and construction of your building.
Hello! Welcome to the Dream Home Design web page!
